Lacoste Chaussures choose EPM FastTrack for S/4 HANA and Hyperion Integration
Lacoste Chaussures implemented S/4 HANA for their global footwear business and needed a solution to fully automate the preparation of data for both Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Essbase within tight corporate reporting deadlines.
The HFM data required a closing balance sheet and income statement together with analyses of balance sheet movements and intercompany transactions. The income statement needed to be reported in accordance with French accounting standards using purchase accounting.
Using EPM FastTrack Lacoste Chaussures are able to build up the various data analyses required, mainly using the universal journal as the source of data. The ability in EPM FastTrack to overlay data on existing data also enables them to report using purchase accounting, even though the standard SAP solution has not been implemented. Fully converted HFM data is generated within SAP and available in real-time throughout the period.
Lacoste Chaussures require a separate set of data to be submitted to Essbase, comprising of detailed margin and overhead reporting. Lacoste Chaussures are able to utilise the power of EPM FastTrack in S/4 HANA, to determine product and season information from individual sales orders and summarise and map this into the financial information required for Essbase. Again, the data selection is carried out in real-time within S/4 HANA and allows users to drill-down from the Essbase data to the underlying SAP transactions.
‘Having EPM FastTrack has made the month end process much smoother and simpler’.
Being able to upload to both HFM and Hyperion Planning from SAP with a few clicks is a real time-saver, especially when time is often running out to submit by the deadline.
EPM FastTrack takes a complex range of information from SAP and summarises this into the Hyperion data required by Lacoste, so we can see exactly what numbers are being loaded and where. It’s also handy to be able to drill-down into the details of these figures – something we have found particularly useful for being able to understand the numbers we are submitting in a specific account.
Highly recommended for any business needed to submit from SAP into Hyperion’
